Miami Heat won the Eastern Conference Finals in Game 6 vs. Boston Celtics and veteran Goran Dragic was full of emotion at the post-game press conference.
“On any given night you don’t know who is going to be the top scorer. We have such tremendous players that are not afraid of big moments. It’s just fun to play with those guys”, said Dragic.
“It’s unreal. I’m full of emotions. I’m happy, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, for 11-12 years and finally, I’m here. All the credit goes to those guys for believing in it. I’ve been through a lot in those five years, ups and downs, and I’m just happy to be part of this big moment”.
Dragic was then also asked to compare winning the European championship with the Slovenian NT with advancing to the NBA finals, as both moments stand out in his long and successful career.
“When you play for your own country and its people, it’s something personal. And of course, we were playing in front of the fans. The game was full. It’s a different feeling. This whole season has been an awesome experience for me. It’s probably one of the biggest moments in my career. I just want to enjoy it and soak it in and get ready for the finals”, he mentioned.
