Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks owner, picked up Delonte West at a Dallas gas station Monday and reached out to help the former NBA player, per TMZ.
West, 37, has admitted to being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. After the conclusion of the playing career, he has been spotted wandering in the streets and seems to be battling drug addiction.
In the latest NBA attempt to assist him, Cuban offered to pay for him to enter a drug rehabilitation facility, according to the most recent report, effort fully endorsed by his family and friends.
West, Saint Joseph’s alum, competed in 490 NBA games between 2004 and 2012. He last played for the Mavericks in 2012.
