LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 124-114 victory against the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the NBA finals, keeping their 2-0 lead.
James flirted with the triple-double and tapped 33 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Davis posted a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, making 14 of his first 15 shots. This Lakers duo is the first to score at least 32 points in a finals game since Game 3 against New Jersey in 2002 (Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant).
Jimmy Butler posted a double-double with 25 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds for short-staffed Miami, which played without injured key players Bam Adebayo (neck and left shoulder) and Goran Dragic (torn left plantar fascia).
With Game 3 tipping off Sunday, it unclear yet if any of the two can return to action for the Heat.
