The 2020 season ended on October 11th after many twists and turns, however, the final result was not a surprise. LeBron James with one more triple-double (28 p. 13 r. 10 as.) and the Los Angeles Lakers got the blow-out 106-93 triumph in Game 6 of the NBA finals over the Heat, winning the championship title with 4-2 wins.
James fulfilled the goal which was set in the summer of 2018 when he left Cleveland for Los Angeles and the Lakers are now tied with the Celtics for most titles in NBA history. Each franchise has 17 trophies.
James also won his fourth finals MVP award, leading a third NBA team as a franchise player to the championship title, a unique feat in NBA history. With 28 triple-doubles in the playoffs, he is second in the All-Time list behind Lakers legend Magic Johnson who has 30.
The Lakers’ biggest lead was 36 points (82-46) during the third quarter and Anthony Davis added 19 points and 15 rebounds. Once more, he proved to be the ideal fit alongside LeBron for the Lakers.
Veteran point guard Rajon Rondo also scored 19 and became the first player to win a championship title both with the Lakers and the Celtics.
Slovenian Goran Dragic returned to action for the Heat after getting injured in Game 1 but neither he nor any other players of the Heat could do much.
Dragic finished the game with five points and five rebounds, Bam Adebayo with 25 points was the top scorer of Miami while the Lakers kept in check Jimmy Butler who had 10 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.
