The Indiana Pacers are appointing Nate Bjorkgren as the team’s new head coach according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Pacers were looking for a head coach after dismissing Nate McMillan in August.
The Pacers later officially announced the deal between the two sides.
Bjorkgen, 45, has been an assistant coach on NBA teams since 2015, first with the Phoenix Suns (2015-2017) and then with the Toronto Raptors with which he finished the previous season. The job with the Pacers will be his first head coach stint in the NBA.
