The NBA aims to return to action before Christmas this year with a slightly shorter season as reported Friday, though this revamped schedule puts the NBA All-Star Game in jeopardy as Adrian Wojnarowski further reports.
The All-Star Game was initially scheduled to take place February 14, 2021 in Indianapolis, while no final decision has been made on the status of All-Star Weekend per Wojnarowski. However, bearing in mind that fans are unlikely to return to the stands anytime soon, plus the high risk of infection, all signs point to its cancellation.
On top of that, an extra free week not occupied with All-Star Festivities would allow the league to reschedule games with more ease, should the need occurs.
