A couple of hours after Leandro Bolmaro was acquired by the Minesotta Timberwolves in the 2020 Draft night, the Argentinian guard/wing confirmed that he will stay with Barcelona at least for the current season.
“Hello cules. I have decided to stay in Barcelona after having spoken with my agent, Barcelona and with my family. I wanted to tell you that it is going to be a great year. Forca Barca,” Bolmaro said in a video message for Barcelona.
Bolmaro has said that his plan is to spent the 2020-2021 season and skip the NBA for one year in order to further develop and improve his game. The 20-year-old player had previously signed a new contract with Barcelona on summer.
Earlier this season, Bolmaro set a career-high in assists by dishing out 10 in an ACB win over San Sebastian. His performance granted him a spot on a a list of players below 20 years old with 10+ assists in a single game, next to such players as Luka Doncic and Ricky Rubio.
