Davis Bertans will be signing a five-year, 80 million contract to stay with the Washington Wizards, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. The deal includes an ETO (Early Termination Option) that Bertans can exercise after his fourth season.
Bertans is coming off the top season of his NBA career so far. The Latvian forward catapulted his numbers in 2019-2020, averaging 15.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 42 percent on 3-pointers. These performances brought him the new and deal that will keeping him in Washington.
Before the Wizards, Bertans had his first NBA run with the San Antonio Spurs. He previously played in EuroLeague with Baskonia with which he made the 2016 Final Four prior to joining the Spurs.
