Nicolas Batum will be signing with the Los Angeles Clippers once he clears his waivers with the Charlotte Hornets, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The Hornets officially waived Batum earlier today (28/11) and parted ways with him after five years.
Charania also reported that Batum was targeted by “multiple teams” when the word got out that he won’t continue in Charlotte. The Clippers were the ones to get the veteran French forward and will be his third team in the NBA.
In 2019-2020, Batum played 22 games and averaged 3.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 23.0 minutes. He had suffered a finger fracture in October.
