Shortly after the start of the 2020-21 NBA Regular Season scheduled for December 22, the NBA Christmas Day will attract fan attention. The five pairings tentatively set for December 25 and revealed by ESPN bring on Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Goran Dragic, and more.
Following the opener featuring the Miami Heat and the New Orleans Pelicans, the reigning two-time MVP, Antetokounmpo, and the Milwaukee Bucks will be in action versus the Golden State Warriors. A healthy Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets will face the Boston Celtics, before the Los Angeles Lakers go against the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets take on the Los Angeles Clippers.
Apart from the Christmas Day being so close to the opening contests, another significant variation compared to previous seasons is potential positive coronavirus tests or other connected issues forcing games to be rescheduled.
