The NBA will be implementing some specific COVID-19 protocols to try and guarantee that the games will be safely held for everyone involved and the possible sanctions to any violators will be strict.
According to a report by ESPN, potential protocol breaches that will result to coronavirus spread that will affect opposing teams and hinder their schedule, could lead any wrongdoing team to even losing their draft choices or have their games forfeited, among other sanctions.
Players who violate the rules and protocols may face punishments that include reduced salaries or to be quarantined during the season.
ESPN mentions that the looming sanctions have caused great concern among clubs.
The NBA is planned to begin its preseason on December 11 while the regular season launch will take place in December 22.
