NBA’s plans to return to Paris following the 2020 Paris Game between Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks have been put to the side until further notice due to the pandemic, according to reports by L’Equipe.
Given the uncertainty caused by the current conditions, the 2021 NBA Paris Game, scheduled to take place next month, reportedly a matchup between Atlanta and Brooklyn, had to be canceled, though the NBA wants to return as soon as possible.
“While we’re disappointed that public health circumstances prevent us from staging the game in Paris in January, we remain as committed as ever to developing new and creative ways to deepen the connection between our passionate French fans and their favorite players and teams. We look forward to working with our partners to build excitement around the NBA season and to playing games in France in future seasons when it is safe to do so,” said Ralph Rivera, Managing Director, NBA Europe & Middle East.
