The Detroit Pistons waived Dzanan Musa on Sunday to meet the roster limit ahead of the new season that tips off next week, as reported by the Free Press.
The Pistons acquired Musa in November in a trade that sent Bruce Brown to the Brooklyn Nets. The Bosnian forward appeared in one game with the team during the preseason, a win against Washington Wizards on Thursday.
Musa, 21, was selected with the 29th overall by the Nets in 2018. He appeared in 40 games last year, averaging 4.8 points while shooting 37.2% overall and 24.4% from the 3-point line. Last season he joined the Long Island Nets in the G League, averaging 19.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 12 games.
