Philadelphia 76ers president Daryl Morey has been fined $50,000 for violating NBA’s anti-tampering rules, as reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The fine concerns a since-deleted social media post Morey made on December 20 regarding Houston Rockets star James Harden.
The NBA Tampering rule implies that while a player is bound by a contract with his respective clubs, teams, players or coaches should not approach or recruit players to rival teams. This involves publicly showing an interest in acquiring the player or contacting his agent about a potential trade.
