Kristaps Porzingis participated in his first full practice with the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday, reported Tim MacMahon of ESPN. The timetable for his return to game action remains unclear but seems to be narrowing down to its final weeks.
“Some time in the next two weeks isn’t far-fetched,” noted head coach Rick Carlisle commenting on the Latvian star eventually getting cleared.
“I just need a little bit of time now to get back in a rhythm and feel good on the court,” said Porzingis regarding his recovery from his latest injury forcing him to the sidelines at the beginning of the 2020-21 NBA Regular Season, “I don’t want to have that adaptation time while I’m already playing. Once I start playing, I want to play at a high level right away.”
His approaching return will certainly boost the Mavericks without him off to a 1-2 start. Upcoming fixtures feature the Charlotte Hornets and the Miami Heat at home Wednesday and Friday, respectively.
