Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated the Detroit Pistons with a season-high 43 points, plus nine rebounds and four assists to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 125 – 115 win. It was the team’s first back-to-back victory of the season.
“They know that the previous game I’d been finding my teammates for a lot of 3s, finding the shooters,” Antetokounmpo said after finishing with 17-24 shots. “Coming to this game, they probably were like, ‘Don’t let them pick us apart with our passing.’ That’s why there was a lot of space.”
Sekou Doumbouya had his first game in double-figures this season, scoring 13. Svi Mykhailiuk also dropped 13 points.
Luka Doncic posted season-highs 33 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists for his first triple-double of the season as the Dallas Mavericks beat the Houston Rockets 113 – 110.
Doncic, who was coming off an injury that kept him out of the Mavs‘ previous game, shot 12-25 from the field and also committed eight turnovers.
Maxi Kleber was scoreless but collected nine rebounds for Dallas.
In Orlando, Nikola Vucevic posted 23 points and eight rebounds as the Orlando Magic routed the Cleveland Cavaliers 103 – 83 to bounce back to wins after two straight losses.
Cedi Osman delivered season-highs 18 points (13 in the first half), seven rebounds and seven assists for the Bucks.
Domantas Sabonis came three assists shy of a triple-double in the Indiana Pacers‘ 118 – 116 win over the Charlotte Hornets, courtesy of a Malcolm Brogdon game-winner in overtime. The Lithuanian center finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, being forced to miss the extra period since he fouled out with four minutes to play in the fourth quarter.
