Philadelphia 76ers guard Seth Curry has tested positive for COVID-19 according to reports by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, leading to the team to change its travel plans and begin contact tracing in New York.
Per the report, the Sixers were made aware of Curry’s positive test early in Thursday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. Curry was sidelined due to an ankle injury, but he sat in the bench area during the first quarter. When the tests results turned in, he left the bench and was isolated from the rest of the team.
The team will remain in New York to begin contact tracing on Friday, while their next scheduled game takes place Saturday, against the Denver Nuggets, in Philadelphia.
