Charlotte Hornets rookie LaMelo Ball became the youngest player in the history of the NBA to finish a game with a triple-double.
Ball had 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists in the Hornets’ win over the Atlanta Hawks at 19 years and 140 days of age, passing the previous record-holder Markelle Fultz who had his first triple-double at 19 years and 317 days old.
“It’s just basketball. I’m doing what I love,” Ball said after the game. “I’ve been doing this ever since I was 3.
“I played a lot of 21 when I was growing up. That’s a lot of basketball for real. Pretty much instincts I guess,” Ball said on collecting 12 rebounds.
