James Harden has been made available for his first appearance with the Brooklyn Nets and is expected to play in Saturday’s (15/1) game against the Orlando Magic.
Nets coach Steve Nash later said that Harden will start in the match where Brooklyn will look to extend its 2-0 winning streak. This will mark the first time Harden will step on the court as teammate of Kevin Durant since 2012.
““It’s going to be an adjustment for him,” Nash said Friday (15/1). “He’s played the same role for many years now, the same way, the same style. So, he’ll be able to emulate that in some ways, but in other ways, he’s going to have to adapt to playing with other guys, namely Kevin and Ky.
Harden was acquired by the Nets in a mega-trade that also sent Latvian forward Rodions Kurucs to the Houston Rockets. The “Beard” had been expressing his discomfort with the situation in Houston and requesting for a trade.
