The Utah Jazz beat the Denver Nuggets, 109-105, on the road Sunday. French big Rudy Gobert scored 15 points including a key bucket in crunch time, grabbed 13 rebounds, and rejected a couple of shots. Croatian Bojan Bogdanovic’s contribution amounted to 17 points almost completely powered by his five threes. On the other end, Serbian superstar Nikola Jokic recorded a game-high 35 points to go along with 14 rebounds, and nine assists. German teammate Isaiah Hartenstein managed to post two rebounds.
With Serge Ibaka sidelined, the Los Angeles Clippers blew out the Indiana Pacers, 129-96. French Nicolas Batum registered ten points and five rebounds. Croatian Ivica Zubac moved to the starting lineup got six points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block. For the losing side, Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis finished with 19 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and two steals, while Georgian Goga Bitadze got five points.
De’Aaron Fox poured 43 points but the Sacramento Kings were defeated, 128-123, by the New Orleans Pelicans. No European action at the Golden 1 Center as Nemanja Bjelica, Nicolo Melli, and Willy Hernangomez stayed on their respective benches.
