Milwaukee Bucks superstar and reigning back-to-back NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is the highest-paid European player in the NBA and sixth highest-paid among all players in the league according to a list by Forbes.

Antetokounmpo’s total earnings for the upcoming season are $49 million. The majority of this sum (27 million) comes from endorsements while the rest is his salary with the Bucks. The Greek Freak signed a five-year, 228 million supermax extension deal with Milwaukee in December.

In 2017, Antetokounmpo re-signed with Nike that released his signature shoe “Greek Freak”.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lebron James is ranked 1st in the Forbes’ list with the highest-paid NBA players, having total earnings of 95.4 million. Again, the bulk of this number is a result of endorsements, which bring the four-time NBA champion an income of $64 million for 2021.
