Facu Campazzo hit his first basket – a 3-pointer – in the game of the Denver Nuggets against the Utah Jazz immediately in the next play after he shot an airball. It was a sequence that demonstrated the Argentinian player’s…. “balls” (or “cojones,” if you will) according to Nuggets coach Mike Malone.
“I thought Facu Campazzo was terrific. Here’s a guy who shoots an airball. A lot of guys would get gun shy after a shot like that. Facu has big cojones man… he doesn’t care. The next time the ball found him, he knocked down the three, hit a layup, made some winning plays down the stretch.”
Campazzo finished the game with 11 points and a season-high-tying five assists in the Nuggets win. Nikola Jokic was the star of the night with his career-high-tying 47 points.
