Kevin Durant returning to action after his latest coronavirus scare coincided with the Brooklyn Nets visiting his former team, the Golden State Warriors, on Saturday. He accounted for 20 points, six assists, five rebounds, and two blocks in the win, 134-117, after enjoying a “Welcome back KD!” video during a time-out in the first quarter.

“The tribute video was cool,” he noted following the 2020-21 NBA Regular Season contest, “I think about those moments daily. Every single moment that I’ve had in this league I think about it and try to analyze it and get better from it.”

The Warriors reserve similar plans for his next Chase Center visit when fans will be permitted to attend.

“My time here at Golden State was so much fun,” added Durant, “It was such a big learning experience, especially learning the game of basketball, a different philosophy. I’m going to take that with me for the rest of my life.”

Durant, 32, missed the previous three games after entering the health and safety protocols. He got off to a rocky start but recovered helping his side improve to 16-12 and reduce the gap from the Eastern Conference leaders, Philadelphia 76ers, to 2.5 wins.
