Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are the first teammates in NBA history to record triple-doubles in the same game for the second time since their 2019 milestone.
Butler had 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists, while Adebayo tapped 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to make triple-double history in the NBA against the Kings on Thursday. The duo first reached this achievement back in 2019, in an OT win against the Atlanta Hawks.
There hasn’t been a triple-double by two players on the same team in the same game since Ja Morant and Jonas Valanciunas did it for Memphis Grizzlies in August 2020, in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
