It was a busy night in the NBA with nine games on the program and there was a lot of European action as well. Nikola Vucevic might have stolen the spotlight with 30 points, 16 rebounds and ten assists in Orlando’s 124-120 win over the Warriors.
Evan Fournier scored 28 in his return to follow his teammate while, on the other side, Steph Curry scored 29 and Kelly Oubre 26 points.
Nikola Jokic also logged a triple-double, his 48th in career, with 16 points, 12 rebounds, ten assists. However, Jamal Murray stole the spotlight with career-high 50 points and he did it without shooting any free throws, the first-ever to make that happen. He shot 21-25 from the floor including 8-10 from the three-point range. Impressive.
Giannis Antetokounmpo put up 29 points, 19 rebounds, and eight assists in Milwaukee’s bounce-back 98-85 win against Oklahoma.
Another 50-piece was seen last night with Joel Embiid dominated Chicago as Philly got a 112-105 win. He also added 17 boards and five assists. Zach LaVine had 30 on the opposing team and Tomas Satoransky ten points.
Daniel Theis had 14 points and eight boards as Boston routed Atlanta while Willy Hernangomez had nine points and 13 boards in New Orleans’ losing effort against the Suns. Jonas Valanciunas logged 17 points and 15 boards to push Memphis past Detroit.
In the clash of the night, the LA Clippers beat the Utah Jazz 116-112. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 29 points while Lou Williams added 19. Donovan Mitchell answered with 35 and Bojan Bogdanovic with 23 but it wasn’t enough. Rudy Gobert had eight points and 15 boards.
