Danilo Gallinari set a franchise record with ten triples for the Atlanta Hawks in the home win, 127-112, over the Boston Celtics. Gallo went for 38 points coming off the bench on Wednesday. Swiss teammate, Clint Capela, added nine points and nine rebounds. On the opposite end, German Daniel Theis registered only one block in 11 minutes as the starting center.
Rudy Gobert shared a team-high 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds as the Utah Jazz routed the Los Angeles Lakers, 114-89. Fellow starter, Croatian sharpshooter, Bojan Bogdanovic added 15 points powered by five triples. On the other end, Spanish Marc Gasol finished with eight points, while Greek Kostas Antetokounmpo registered his first point of the 2020-21 season.
The Chicago Bulls snatched the overtime victory, 133-126, over the Minnesota Timberwolves with Czech Tomas Satoransky piling up 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Spanish Ricky Rubio forced extra minutes from the free-throw line ending up with nine points, ten assists, and one rebound for the visitors.
Slovenian Goran Dragic scored 15 points in his return to action aiding the streaking Miami Heat to victory, 116-108, versus the Toronto Raptors. The experienced reserve also put up three assists and two rebounds in 21 minutes. London-born OG Anunoby finished with 14 points for the losing side.
The Indiana Pacers lost to the Golden State Warriors, 111-107, despite Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis putting up a 22-point, 16-rebound double-double. Georgian teammate Goga Bitadze did not get on the board in limited action.
Lu Dort hit the buzzer-beater game-winning corner three lifting the Oklahoma City Thunder over the San Antonio Spurs, 102-99, building on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s career-high 42 points. French started Theo Maledon got three points.
Two European starters for San Antonio with Austrian Jakob Poeltl producing seven points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two rejections, while Croatian Luka Samanic logged four points and four rebounds in 19 minutes.
Spanish Willy Hernangomez got six points and five rebounds as the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Detroit Pistons, 128-118. For the Pistons, Ukrainian Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk had 12 points and French Sekou Doumbouya three.
Turkish Cedi Osman ended up with seven points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block helping the Cleveland Cavaliers take down the Houston Rockets, 112-96.
Croatian Dario Saric registered six points, four rebounds, three steals, and two assists for the Phoenix Suns in the loss, 124-121, to the Charlotte Hornets.
