Facu Campazzo gets Luka Doncic but “prays” against NBA defenders

Two years ago, Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic went viral for saying that it’s easier to score in the NBA than in Europe due to several differences in the game such as the bigger court size or the defensive 3-second rule.

Doncic has proven his point, at least when it comes to himself, time and again by continuously registering big numbers. For his former Real Madrid teammate and current Denver Nuggets guard Facu Campazzo, things haven’t been exactly as easy.

“I understand why Luka says that because he has incredible talent, but ‘I go through a hell,’ I even pray sometimes,” Campazzo said, per Marca. “There are more spaces with the rule of three defensive seconds, but at the same time you have much more athletic players who come the help in half a second. Also they say that here players don’t defend, but they defend a lot”

Campazzo joined the Nuggets to launch his NBA career in December. The Argentinian guard slowly saw his time on the court gradually getting increased and has been playing 22.6 minutes per game in February, averaging 8.3 points, 2.9 assists and 1.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals.
