The Dallas Mavericks visiting the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday may return Kristaps Porzingis to action recovered from his recent back issue. He practiced on Friday and is likely to play versus the Nets, per Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News.
Porzingis, 25, has been sidelined since February 14. His absence coincided with trade rumors since denied by the Mavericks.
“I shouldn’t be too worried about it,” he pointed out, “It can only distract me at the end of the day. I try to focus on being in the moment, being here day to day and putting in the work with my teammates and getting better as a basketball player.”
The Latvian big is averaging 20.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 1.3 assists per game this season.
