While the Orlando Magic haven’t been getting the results they wished for and are holding a second-worst record in the Eastern Conference, with 13 wins and 23 losses, the team has been plagued by issues including injuries.
That said, Nikola Vucevic has been playing arguably his best basketball so far and Evan Fournier, despite missing some games with an injury, has shown that he can follow the Montenegrin center every step of the way.
With Orlando having to reconsider the path the franchise will continue on, there might be a possibility for rebuilding and trading away some assets.
According to Kevin O’Connor, multiple teams across the league have been expressing interest in the Magic’s European duo as well as in Terrence Ross.
The Heat, Spurs, Celtics, and Hornets have all showed significant Vucevic who made his second All-Star appearance this year. At 30 years of age, he’s been averaging 24.6 points on 41% from the three-point range while also adding 11.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
It should be noted that Vucevic has two years left on his contract and Orlando’s front office might not be willing to make a move now unless the price is right, and it might be too high for the interested parties.
The Hornets are also one of the teams that have been eyeing Fournier who’s played 21 of 36 games this season, putting up 18.5 points on 37% from deep as well as 3.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game.
