Nikola Jokic affirmed his commitment to the Denver Nuggets organization once again Friday (12/3) by saying that there’s no other team that he’d prefer to get the NBA championship more than with the one he’s currently with.
“My personal opinion is I’d rather win it [the championship] with Nuggets than … win it with any another team,” Jokic declared following the 103 – 102 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Serbian center just contributed 28 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists, along with a key defense against Ja Morant in the final seconds.
“If I win it with Nuggets, or if we win it with Nuggets, that’s gonna be… we’re gonna want it more than if I go or if someone else joins us,” Jokic had previously mentioned. “That’s even better, maybe someone joins us,” he added on a less serious tone.
Jokic has been averaging career-highs 27.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 8.5 assists in 2020-21 so far.
