Minnesota Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio has emerged as an option for some NBA clubs and could be finding himself on a different team before the expiration of the trade deadline on March 25.
According to a report by Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Orlando Magic are two teams that are examining Rubio’s case and are considering the Spanish guard among the players who may satisfy their playmaking needs.
Rubio is said to be “in play” for the Clippers while the Magic are reported to been looking to his case, “kicking the tires” on the veteran point guard, per Mannix.
In January, Rubio expressed his disappointment with his performances after averaging career-lows 6.1 points, 5.7 assists in his return to Minnesota. He has shown quite the improvement recently, posting 12.1 points, 7.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds over the last ten games.
