Bogdan Bogdanovic has needed some time to get back into form after being sidelined for a while and he showed a glimpse of his old self in the Atlanta Hawks‘ 116-93 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Serbian guard banked in 23 points on 9-14 shooting including 5-9 from long range while Trae Young added 23 of his own. Clint Capela and Danilo Gallinari had eight each.
On the opposing side, Teo Maledon scored ten while Aleksej Pokusevski slowed down a bit with four points.
Enes Kanter logged 16 points and 13 rebounds to help out Damian Lillard, who scored 36, lead the Trail Blazers past the New Orleans Pelicans with 101-93 on the scoreboard. Zion Williamson had 26 points and ten boards.
The Orlando Magic continue to sink deeper as they lost the ninth straight game, this time to the New York Knicks by a minimal margin, 94-93. Evan Fournier scored 23 points while Nikola Vucevic had 17 points and 16 rebounds.
A historic performance was seen in the Timberwolves‘ 123-119 road win against the Suns as Anthony Edwards scored 42 points, becoming the third-youngest player to log a 40-point game, behind LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
Karl Anthony Towns was also up to the task as he followed with 41 points, ten boards, and eight assists. Juancho Hernangomez added 14 and Ricky Rubio six points. Devin Booker had 35 for Phoenix.
LeBron James scored 37 while also adding eight boards and six assists to push the Lakers past Charlotte 116-105. Dennis Schroder helped out with 22 points. LaMelo Ball answered on the other side with 26.
Last but not least, the Washington Wizards upset the league-leading Utah Jazz with 131-122. Bradley Beal was on fire with 43 points while Russell Westbrook had 35 points, 15 boards, and 13 assists.
Donovan Mitchell scored 42 to try and shake things up for Utah, as did Joe Ingles who logged 34 points. Rudy Gobert had ten points and 13 rebounds.
