Trading away Nikola Vucevic is not a priority for the Orlando Magic, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Orlando remains unwilling to part with the Montenegrin center, as confirmed in the trade rumors update ahead of next Thursday’s deadline.
Vucevic, 30, with two full seasons remaining on his contract, is currently averaging a career-high 24.8 points per game this season to go along with 11.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.6 blocks. Despite his stellar performances, the Magic riding a nine-game losing streak is sliding away from a playoffs berth.
European sidekick, Evan Fournier will become an unrestricted free agent this summer and is remains among the players drawing interest in trade talks.
The Magic pulling the trigger on Vucevic, Fournier, or another player will depend on the incoming offers but the asking price for the Montenegrin big looks unappealing for the interested parties.
