The movie”Greek Freak”, about Giannis Antetokunmpo’s rise to the top, has been in development and the leading role will belong to Uche Agada, according to Variety.

Agada will take on the role of young Giannis while Yetide Badaki will play Vera (Giannis’s mother) and Dayo Okeniyi will play Charles (Giannis’s father).
This role will mark Agada’s onscreen debut. He auditioned after seeing a screengrab on Instagram of an announcement about the open casting call from Antetokounmpo’s Twitter.
The movie shares about Antetokounmpos and how they lifted themselves out of poverty as undocumented immigrants in Greece.
Akin Omotoso is directing the film for Disney+ based on a screenplay by Arash Amel. Antetokounmpo will executive produce, and Bernie Goldmann will produce. Production is expected to begin later this year in both Greece and the U.S.
