The Boston Celtics are offering a first-round pick and a young player to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Aaron Gordon, as reported by the Boston Herald’s Mark Murphy.
Per the report, the talks between the two teams are “still alive” for the 25-year-old forward, though the Celtics are not willing to offer Marcus Smart in this possible exchange.
Gordon has been one of the most discussed names ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline, while he told reporters earlier this week that he requested a trade from the Magic due to “frustration”. He is currently averaging 14.6 points on 39.3% three-point shooting, 6.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 24 contest in the 2020-21 season.
