Vincent Poirier will be waived by the New York Knicks, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. New York acquired the French center by the Philadelphia 76ers in a three-team deal that also involved the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Poirier, a former EuroLeague standout with Baskonia, played just ten games with the Sixers and averaged 3.9 minutes on court. He also struggle to find sufficient playing time last season with the Boston Celtics, posting 1.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 5.9 minutes.
Before joining the Celtics for his first NBA trip in 2019, Poirier had 11.9 points and 8.3 rebounds with Baskonia in EuroLeague.
