James Harden led the Brooklyn Nets to a 113-111 win over the Pistons on Friday with 44 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists, just one of his many showdowns this season.
When asked about him being in the MVP conversation for the season, Harden told reporters post-game: “Do I feel like I belong in it? I feel like I am the MVP. I mean, it’s just that simple. I don’t want to be speaking individually on myself. I am just going to leave it at that”, tells Harden. “Numbers are showing it for itself, and we’re winning. That’s all I can say.”
And he is right. In the 30 games Harden has played for Brooklyn since they acquired him from the Houston Rockets back in January, he has posted an average 25.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 11.5 assists and the team has gone on a 24-7 record with Harden in charge.
