Nikola Jokic delivered 21 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to help the Denver Nuggets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 104 – 95 in their first home game with fans since the suspension of the league in March 2020.
The Nuggets were up 44 – 22 (no typo) after the first quarter and 68 – 45 at halftime but the Sixers fought back and made a last push to cut their deficit to six points in the last minute. “We thought it was going to be easy,” Jokic, who heard MVP chants, said.
Furkan Korkmaz had six points for the Sixers.
Dario Saric came one point shy of tying his season-high by scoring 20 in the Phoenix Suns‘ 117 – 110 win over the Atlanta Hawks. The Croatian forward also posted five rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench.
Bogdan Bogdanovic produced 22 points (his season-high is 23) and six assists in the Hawks‘ loss. Clint Capela had 16 points plus 16 rebounds while Danilo Galinari scored 13.
