The Atlanta Hawks (24-24) bounced back from their two-game losing streak with an epic 134-129 double-overtime victory against the San Antonio Spurs (24-22).
Bogdan Bogdanovic was among the team’s leaders in the win with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, while Clint Capela had a double-double with 28 points and 17 rebounds and Trae Young finished with 28 points of his own.
DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 36 points and big man Jakob Poeltl had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Jamal Murray scored 23 points and the Denver Nuggets (30-18) beat the Los Angeles Clippers (32-18) 101-94 for their fourth straight victory. Will Barton added 19 points for the Nuggets and Nikola Jokic posted 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in 36 minutes.
Kawhi Leonard paced the Clippers with 24 points, 12 rebounds and Terance Mann tapped 18 points coming from the bench.
Terrence Ross hit two key shots late in overtime to add up 19 points, Wendell Carter III scored 21 points as the Orlando Magic (17-31) beat the short-staffed New Orleans Pelicans (21-26) 115-110.
The Pelicans lacked Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball and eventually gave in in the overtime period. Nickeil Alexander-Walker paced the Pelicans with 31 points, while Josh Hart had 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Jimmy Butler posted 22 points and Duncan Robinson scored 21, as the Miami Heat (25-24) defeated the Golden State Warriors (23-25) 116-109 to move on with their third straight win.
Stephen Curry led all game scorers with 36 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, Andrew Wiggins had 23 points and Draymond Green flirted with triple-double figures, as he had 16 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.
The Brooklyn Nets (34-15) beat the Charlotte Hornets (24-23) 111-89, paced behind a 21-point performance by Jeff Green. Kyrie Irving had 15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and LaMarcus Aldridge tapped 11 points, 9 rebounds in his debut with the Nets.
Gordon Hayward and Devonte Graham each scored 13 points for Charlotte. Terry Rozier had 12.
Josh Jackson posted a season-high with 31 points as the Detroit Pistons (14-34) stunned the Washington Wizards (17-30) 120-91. Mason Plumlee added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Pistons, who had seven players in double figures. On the other end of the court, Robin Lopez had 16 points for Washington and Alex Len tapped 14.
Shake Milton scored 27 points, Dwight Howard had 18 points and 15 rebounds, and the Philadelphia 76ers (33-15) finished a six-game road trip without injured Joel Embiid by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers (17-31) 114-94. Collin Sexton paced the Cavs with 24 points and Dean Wade had 16.
