Khem Birch will be waived by the Orlando Magic, according to Shams Charania and Josh Robbins of The Athletic. The Toronto Raptors seem to be next for the former Turkish Airlines EuroLeague player, as added in the report updating his current status.
Birch, 28, in his fourth season with the Magic, is averaging 5.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.6 blocks per contest. A move elsewhere may grant him the opportunity for more playing time after recently being reduced to a reserve role.
The Canadian center jumped to Turkey joining Usak Sportif in 2015. He moved to Olympiacos participating in 37 EuroLeague games during the 2016-17 season. Following his lone campaign in Greece, he opted out of his contract to sign with Orlando.
