Giannis Antetokounmpo has been having another great year as the Milwaukee Bucks are off to the playoffs, sitting currently in the third spot in the Eastern Conference with a 35-21 record.

The team may not be as dominant results-wise as the previous two seasons but Giannis welcomes those challenges as he believes that is exactly what a squad needs in order to reach the top.

“It’s a marathon, not a sprint. You’ve gotta be patient, you’ve gotta keep building good habits, keep having fun. At the end of the day, personally, the regular season helps but facing adversity is what helps the most. Winning five games in a row, losing five games in a row. Just being up and down. Learning how to bounce back because there will be a lot of ups and downs in the playoffs.”

His brother and teammate in Thanasis Antetokounmpo has been of great help to him when it comes to mentally pushing through the long season, reminding him constantly to have fun and enjoy the game while improving.

“He’s a great brother. Every day before the game starts, he tells me that the most important thing is to have joy, have fun. Obviously, you have to get better each day but as every brother, I just wanna see you smile. He pushes me to get better but also reminds me that I have to enjoy it if I want to do this for a long time.”

Going all the way, fans slowly coming back into the arenas, the addition of Jrue Holiday, his respect for LeBron James and more.
