The Minnesota Timberwolves are interested in adding Pierria Henry, according to Chema De Lucas and first reported by Encestando.
Henry, 28, has a deal with Real Madrid, as previously reported. A potential move to the NBA would presumably prevent him from joining the Spanish giant to start the 2020-21 season.
The explosive point guard is coming off his best Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign averaging 10.5 points, 7.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per contest with TD Systems Baskonia. His efforts fell slightly shy of a playoffs berth.
The former Charlotte standout went undrafted in 2015 and moved his talents to Europe. He was featured at Vita Tbilisi, ratiopharm Ulm, Hapoel Eilat, Tofas Bursa, and UNICS Kazan, prior to landing at the team based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, before the 2019-20 season.
Baskonia has shifted its focus to the ACB since suffering the knockout blow in EuroLeague. The team guided by Dusko Ivanovic, enjoying 9.6 points per game by Henry, is currently ranked fourth in the Spanish league packing a 22-9 record.
