Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks made a big comeback last night against the LA Lakers, bouncing back from -15 (58-43) and winning 108-93 in the end.
Luka Doncic put up 18 points, 13 assists, and eight rebounds while he got big help from Dwight Powell and Dorian Finney-Smith who scored 25 and 21 points respectively.
On the opposing side, Dennis Schroder logged 16-4-10 as the Lakers try to get back their rhythm with Anthony Davis returning and awaiting LeBron James’ recovery.
Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets got a 129-116 win over the Houston Rockets, led by Michael Porter Jr’s 39 and Nikola Jokic’s 24 points.
In addition to scoring, Jokic also dished 12 assists and grabbed eight boards. In fact, he, together with Facundo Campazzo dished out a total of 25 assists. Campazzo scored five points to go with his 13 assists.
The Utah Jazz got defeated by the Minnesota Timberwolves despite Bojan Bogdanovic stepping up big time with 30 points. Rudy Gobert as usual dominated the paint with 17 rebounds while scoring nine points.
Another European big man was in control last night but also suffered a loss. Nikola Vucevic scored 26 points while also logging 14 rebounds and six assists but the Bulls couldn’t handle the Miami Heat.
Lauri Markkanen and Daniel Theis helped him with nine points each while, in the Spurs‘ win over the Pelicans, Jakob Poeltl logged 8-7-3.
