According to Eurohoops sources, the Brooklyn Nets are planning to sign Mike James for the rest of the season and through the NBA playoffs once his second 10-day contract expires on May 13. James signed his second 10-day contract with Brooklyn on Monday.

The 30-year old guard is averaging 6.7 points and 3.6 assists in seven games with the Nets so far this season. His best game came against the Blazers on April 30 where he scored a season-high 15 points.

James will still be considered a CSKA Moscow player after the end of the 2020-21 season. Back in late March, James was suspended indefinitely by CSKA Moscow, following an incident with his head coach, Dimitris Itoudis. Eventually, CSKA released James, in order for him to come to an agreement with the Nets.
