The New York Knicks announced officially the addition of Argentinian point guard Luca Vildoza.
The terms of the deal were not announced, but, as it’s already reported, Luca Vildoza has a $13.6M, four-year contract, while his former team, Baskonia, announced his departure yesterday and will receive a $2M buyout.
The $3.5M attached to the remainder of the 2020-21 season are guaranteed, notes Chema de Lucas, while the remaining three years of his contract are not guaranteed. Baskonia will retain his rights in Europe.
The member of the Argentinian national team is expected to fly to New York, once he is cleared to travel. There is no clear timetable for the trip.
Vildoza, in his fourth EuroLeague campaign, averaged 10.3 points, 3.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per match over 32 appearances. He also logged 10.3 points per ACB game.
