Stephen Curry registered 49 points as the Golden State Warriors blew out the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. He played only 29 minutes in the 136-97 victory.
“I appreciate the love,” he said following the 2020-21 NBA Regular Season fixture, “Nights like tonight, you want to get off to a good start knowing we should win this game. When you see the first two go down you start to find another level of confidence and try to create an avalanche from there.”
Curry, 33, made 11/21 triples covering most of his side’s franchise record of 27 threes in a single game. This was his 22nd showing with ten or more three-pointers and seventh this season. And he sat out the fourth quarter. Unbelievable.
The Warriors at 35-33 rank eighth in the Western Conference and are more than likely to end up in the play-in games. They have four more home games left with the Utah Jazz visiting next on Monday.
