According to Eurohoops sources, the Italian coach will extend his contract with the Toronto Raptors with a new multi-year deal and he will remain a distinguished collaborator of head coach Nick Nurse.
Scariolo was hired by the Toronto Raptors in the summer of 2018, he was a member of the championship run of 2019, he coached one game this season getting the 122-111 win over the Houston Rockets, and of course, he has a long career in Europe.
He has won twice the Spanish league, he is also a champion in Italy and has also won two Spanish and one Russian cup.
He is more well known and respected throughout the world of basketball from his two runs with the Spanish national team, having won a silver and a bronze Olympic medal, the 2019 FIBA World Cup, and three Eurobasket trophies.
