Luca Vildoza signed with the New York Knicks to make a dream come true as he recently said. The Argentinian guard may have to wait a longer before wearing the Knicks jersey and actually stepping on the court for his first NBA minutes.
“It’s going to take some time for him to get over here,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said, per the NY Post. “Our scouts really liked him. We’ll have time to evaluate him over the summer.” Vildoza will be joining the Knicks once he gets clearance to travel, something that will indeed take time due, also due to the complexities of the COVID-19 travel regulations.
The Knicks will be playing in the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2013 but it seems unlikely that Vildoza will be making his NBA debut then. “There’s a whole process that he’s going to have to go through, so it’s going to be more of a summer thing,” Thibodeau added.
