Facu Campazzo joined the Denver Nuggets to live the NBA dream and also to not carry a big “What If?” for the rest of his career.
“It was always my dream to play in the NBA,” Campazzo said in an interview for the Nuggets. “I didn’t want to think that I didn’t try it at least, when I retire and end my career. This is the best league in the world. I want to compete ”
After adjusting to the new NBA reality, Campazzo began producing for the Nuggets and ended up averaging 6.1 points, 3.6 assists, 2.1 rebounds, 1.2 steals in 21.9 minutes. He also earned praise for his extremely tough defense.
“It’s very funny. I used to watch that kind of players on TV or video games,” Campazzo said. “It’s crazy… now I always I talk with my brother on the phone and say it’s crazy because years ago we didn’t even think about guarding Steph Curry or Damian Lillard and that kind of stars. It’s a big challenge for me because I like to compete against my rival so I just try to put my 100 percent always, my heart and energy in every game.
