The NBA won’t be suspending LeBron James for any breach of the league’s health and safety protocols for coronavirus, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
James attended an event to promote a tequila brand prior to the Play-In match vs. the Golden State Warriors. An NBA spokesman described it as a “violation of the agreed upon protocols,” to ESPN. The reason LeBron won’t be suspended is because, “the nature of the event didn’t rise to a threat level of virus spread,” ESPN also reports.
All event attendees were required to show proof that they have been vaccinated for COVID-19 or that they tested negative recently. James hasn’t answered on whether he has received the vaccine.
